Be a crew member in the Rolex Fastnet Race on the 6th of August 2017 in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, the Rolex Fastnet Race is one of the top three offshore sailing crewed race. You can join us to be part of the crew to participate onboard one of our Challenge 67 yacht.
It’s in 1925 that was created the first Fastnet Race : a 605 nautical miles sailing race that has become legendary, a bi-annual organization. It is probably one of the most difficult sailing races : battling the wind and tricky tidal conditions to round the Fastnet Rock on the Southern tip of Ireland, even at summer time !
Almost 300 sailing yachts of all kinds, from 9 to 30 meters, take part, heading west down the Solent and out through the Needles, past the major south coast headlands, Anvil Point, Portland Bill, Start Point, and Lands End before rounding the famous Fastnet rock and then returning via the Scilly Isles before finishing at Plymouth.
Onboard Whirlwind, one of our Challenge 67 built for the BT Global Challenge, be part of the crew as a member. Whatever your skills are, fighting spirit is compulsory to get involved in such a sailing race. Take part in the famous Rolex Fastnet Race…
