Discover Faial and Pico islands<\/span><\/h2>\n

The idea for this sailing course is to combine visiting a wonderful destination,<\/strong> the Azores and offshore sailing experience<\/strong> with a half Atlantic crossing. Located at the latitude of Lisboa, the nine islands of the Portuguese Archipelago are volcanic origin. Their northern position and ocean climate give a lush vegetation and marine wildlife such as sperm whales, beaked whales and dolphins. With its 2351 meters, the Ponta do Pico volcano is the peak of the Azores.<\/p>\n

Azores and crossing Atlantic Ocean<\/span><\/h2>\n

It’s onboard Whirlwind, one of our two crewed Challenge 67<\/strong> (21m monohull), that you will sail as a crew member. The first part of the cruise is a 4 to 5 days charter visiting Faial Island and neighbourhood islands such as Pico,\u00a0S\u00e3o Jorge. Whales, dolphins and maybe sperm whale will let you approach to observe these marvelous marine mammals.
\nYou will then live an offshore sailing course<\/strong>, paced by shifts, durinf 8 to 10 days*, heading to Lorient<\/strong> in South Brittany. As a crew member, you will particpate to all the tasks onboard.<\/p>\n
