This offshore sailing program through the Celtic Sea and Atlantic Ocean will allow you to discover the Irish coastline from Kinsale to Cape Clear Island. Offshore sailing course to Ireland

Pleasure of offshore sailing, sailing manoeuvres and life with a crew on a large monohull are the ingredients of the sailing courses on board our Challenge 67. Sailing trips are the best way to learn. Don’t forget the authentic stopovers on the coast or in the islands to take the time to feel the local life with a flavour of adventure.

From Lorient, the route takes us to the Isles of Scilly, an archipelago located west of Lands’ End, at the tip of Cornwall. About 130 nautical miles from Scilly, after crossing the Celtic Sea, we land on Kinsale or the famous Fastnet Rock. The coast of Ireland is wild and unspoilt and not often visited by pleasure craft. The richness and diversity of marine life here is astonishing. The Irish coastline allows you to alternate between sailing and coastal cruising from island to island, in the heart of deep bays, along a preserved and authentic coastline.

Depending on the weather conditions and the progress of the sailing along the SW coast of Ireland, you will discover places admirable for the beauty of the landscapes and the richness of the flora and fauna. Along the way you will undoubtedly come across grey seals, bottlenose dolphins, puffin colonies and gannets. An Irish cruise would not be complete without its pub stops! The reputation of Irish pubs is well deserved: a festive atmosphere is guaranteed!

Crew member and committed!

Supervised by 2 professional sailors, qualified as Capitaine 200 Voile and Brevet d’Etat, you will embark as a crew member. Everyone participates actively in the smooth running of the yacht. Offshore sailing is in 24/24 mode. The organisation of the boat is arranged in watches or tacks. You are therefore subject to shift, approximately 8 hours per 24 hours, but also to watches, cooking, washing up… Our ships deliberately do not use a pilot, nor furlers. This is one of the best ways to discover offshore sailing. You may have to put up with some bad weather, but our ships are seaworthy!
