Come on board as a crew member racing the fourth edition of the DRHEAM CUP 1000. From Cherbourg-en-Cottentin, take part in an offshore race of 1000 nautical miles via the Fastnet. Live an offshore racing experience aboard our crewed Volvo 60 in the Open Big Monohull class. Imoca, Ocean Fifty and other Class 40 are also registered on this 1000NM course.
Crew member racing on a XXL sailboat race
The opportunity to confront you in the fleet and experience exceptional crew moments with training program during delivery and racing over a dozen days in July 2022. The race will leave Cherbourg-en-Cottentin to join La Trinité-sur-Mer.
Part of the great tactical course of 1000 nautical miles in IRC0, we’ll sail along the Imoca and the Class 40. The first part takes place in the English Channel. Then, we will bypass the Scilly to “climb” in the Irish Sea and roll up the impressive Fastnet rock planted with its lighthouse.
Then, it will be « downhill » to the Isles of Scilly with probably a mark of course to leave on an edge. The last part of the race will end off or along the Brittany coast to cross the finish line in front of La Trinité-sur-Mer.
A crew engaged in ocean racing mode
We propose you to be part of the crew aboard a Volvo 60 to race the DHREAM CUP 1000. Supervised by four professional sailors (skipper Captain 200, second, tactician, N°1), the spirit of competition is essential to engage as a crew member in such an event, whatever your level.
Boarding duration is 12 days. You will embark at Lorient La Base to reach Cherbourg-en-Cottentin from where the DRHEAM CUP will start. While delivering the boat, team members will be able to know each other and assess each other’s levels. After the race, the return navigation will be carried out from La Trinité-sur-Mer to Lorient (possibility to disembark in La Trinité sur Mer).
Useful informations
A prologue will be run from Cherbourg-en-Cottentin. This coastal course will allow each team member to find their marks on board, a sort of warm-up lap in racing condition, before setting off to race the DRHEAM CUP 1000!

FFVoile Competition license : compulsory
Team member in the race, you must be licensed with French Sailing Federation, with medical aptitude for sailing competition. Affiliated as French Cruising School with the FFVoile, you can subscribe your license to the CHALLENGE OCEAN Club.

French Open Offshore Racing
New breath in the world of sailing, this race brings together passionate amateur crews and tenors in offshore racing. Organized by Jacques CIVILISE and his Drheam Promotion team since 2016, this fourth edition is clearly positioned as the French Fastnet. It takes place alternately with the prestigious Rolex Fastnet Race which runs once every two years, in odd years, starting from Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
